More About Us!

Each year we fund scholarships for high school seniors who are bound for college or a technical school, and students currently enrolled from the Texas Hill Country. Applicants must be studying agriculture or a closely related field.  In 2023 we awarded $27,900 in scholarships to 21 high school and 6 college students from our member counties. Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser

Each fall we host a fun fashion show featuring boutiques from the Texas Hill Country. The event also includes a luncheon, silent auction and raffle. This is our primary scholarship fundraiser, and is held at the YO Resort Hotel in Kerrville, Texas. This year’s event is scheduled for November 9th.

For tickets or more info please contact Sharon Kott

Other Events

Other events we have supported include the Texas Make It With Wool Contest, Farm and Ranch Days at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Park, the Food and Wine Fest in Fredericksburg, Farm Bureau Ag Days for school children in Gillespie and Kerr Counties, and area youth sheep and goat stock shows.  Through these events, we educate the public about sheep and goats and their products including wool and mohair.  We are willing to assist whenever and wherever asked to support our industry!

Our current Special Project is to raise funds for our parent organization, the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association, to help with the maintenance and preservation of their historic office building in San Angelo. We will hold a Silent Auction at the TSGRA Summer Conference in July each year, and we’ll also accept monitory donations. Click here for more info!
